Learning Support Assistant – Stoke.
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a number of SEN Learning Support Assistants to join a leading SEN education services provider. The role is designed to support qualified teachers in delivering the company’s progressive curriculum to young learners with challenging behaviours based at our day school in Stoke.
We specialise in delivering bespoke academic packages such as basic Maths, English ,Science and ICT, blended with a broad range of social enrichment learning through creative and practical approaches that include art, cookery and music as well as our vocational studies for our sixth form students through to climbing, mountain biking and canoeing, to young learners typically aged 11 to 16 years old.
You will typically be working between 8.30am – 4.30pm, Monday to Friday, during term-time only and will be based at our school in Stoke on Trent. September 2020 starts are available for the right candidates subject to DBS clearance and satisfactory references.
In return, the SEN Learning Support Assistant will receive £8.72 per hour (£1255.68 pcm year round) inclusive of pay in lieu of annual leave and bank holidays. You will receive CPD and training opportunities including First Aid, Safeguarding, MAPA (de-escalation and restraint), and after a successful probation, you will have the option to engage in further academic learning yourself (NVQ L3 Supporting Teaching and Learning).
